 Maddalena was born in Italy and started studying music at a very early age. At the age of four, she began learning the piano and gradually added the cello and voice to her musical education. At thirteen. her special talent took her to Vienna, where she studied the cello at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität. On completing her studies as a cellist, she received a MA and performed in many concert halls as a soloist and chamber musician. 

Her recent performances include appearances at the Musikverein Vienna, the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Barocktage Melk, and broadcasts for BR (German TV).

In 2020 Maddalena was nominated for the ICMA and the Opus Klassik. She is the Artistic Patron of Scandinavian Cello School (a foundation which supports, educates and promotes young cellists).
