Victor Lowrie Tafoya is a versatile violist, improviser and composer. As a passionate advocate of new music, he has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician and educator throughout the US, South America, Europe and Asia.

Victor is a founding member of Mivos Quartet, and performs regularly with groups such as Ensemble Signal, Slee Sinfonietta and the Wet Ink Ensemble. He can be heard on recordings from Carrier, Kill Rock Stars, New Amsterdam, New Focus Recordings, and Tzadik Records.
