Chris Wong (Vocal)

Lau Wing Chung is currently a year 4 student at Hong Kong Baptist University, studying for his Bachelor of Arts (Hon) in Music and majoring in voice under the guidance of Mr. Chan Foon Sheung since 2022. He received the ABRSM Grade 8 Vocal certificate with merit in 2019, ABRSM Grade 8 saxophone with distinction and ABRSM Grade 8 Theory with pass in 2022. Since 2023, he has been part of the Musica Viva chorus and appeared in productions of Anna Bolena (2023) and Carmen (2024), where he played the role of Remendado.

He has a great interest in choral music and he is currently a member of Cantoria Hong Kong. He has been selected as a soloist in the "Gabriel Faure Centennial Concert", "Colla Voce 2023", "Christmas Concert in the Park —The Lark Ascending 2023" and "Duruflé Requiem Concert 2021" by Hong Kong Baptist University. Besides that, he is one of the guest singers of the HKU Chamber and a member of Singfest.

Lau won the second-place award in the Taiwan Internation Music Competition Hong Kong Region 2024-Vocal Age Group - Open (Age 30 or under) and Hong Kong Music Talent & Performance Competition in 2022, and The third-place award of Hong Kong Intercultural Young Musicians Competition in 2021.

Apart from his singing experience, he has great interest in choral conducting as well. He is the conductor of the HKBU staff choir in 2023-2024 and the conductor of Kowloon Sam Yuk Secondary School's choir.
