Matthew Ng (Cello)

Matthew Ng is a Third-year undergraduate music student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), majoring in cello under the tutelage of Mr. Cheung Ming-yuen. He is also minoring in Dizi under the tutelage of Mr. Choo Boon-chong and previously studied under Mr. Wai Sing-fat. Ng has participated in masterclasses with Mr. Damien Ventula, Professor Patrick Yim, and Professor David Gwilt, as well as a Dizi masterclass with Dr. Tang Jun Qiao.

Ng is currently a member of the Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong City Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Bauhinia Chinese Orchestra, and Hong Kong Chinese University Chung Chi Orchestra. He has also performed with the Hong Kong String Orchestra, Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra, and various orchestras at CUHK. Ng was also invited to perform in the French Music Project at CUHK.
